Musical Heart Strings is a professional ensemble in Martinez, California. Founders Kerry Borgen and Gretchen Egen have been performing music together for 16 years, including jazz, pop, rock and roll, and the occasional heavy metal.
With influence from the Vitamin String Quartet, all of Musical Heart Strings’ music is originally arranged, making their compositions and covers unique to their ensemble. Musical Heart Strings’ compositions are for instrumental duo, solo, and trio, as well as a string quartet and trio. They are fully insured and can play compositions using the cello, piano, viola, and violin. They have anywhere from one to six musicians available for your event, depending on the style composition you’d like performed.
Musical Heart Strings can perform acoustically, using foot percussion, and with amplification.
